New: Online, Self-Guided Retail Program Standards SAVA Courses

Online, self-guided Retail Food Program Standards Self-Assessment/Verification Audit Courses are now available. These courses are designed for program managers and those directly responsible for conducting program self-assessments or verification audits. The courses can be completed at the user’s own pace. Three courses are currently open for registration: an introduction to the Program Standards and administrative procedures, and SAVA Audit Courses for Standards 3 and 4. Courses on the other standards are coming soon.

The Retail Food Program Standards:

  • help guide program managers in designing and managing regulatory retail food programs,
  • provide a way to recognize programs meeting the standards, and
  • are designed to help food regulatory programs enhance the services they provide to the public.
