Retail regulatory food safety professionals are sought to participate in a national survey to identify the strengths of the retail food safety regulatory community and assess knowledge gaps as they pertain to workforce needs. As part of this effort, participants are asked to complete a 20-minute, anonymous, online survey.

This assessment will:

  • Determine the degree of exposure retail food regulatory professionals have to key content knowledge areas, and
  • Discover strengths and gaps between exposure to content and the working needs of the regulatory community.

Participants will help ensure a better understanding of training needs in state, tribal, local, territorial, and federal environmental public health and agricultural departments, agencies, and organizations. Results from the assessment will be widely shared in the fall to allow associations, government, and other training providers to bolster education resources and improve training.

Participation is strictly for regulatory professionals working in retail food.

This assessment is being conducted by the National Environmental Health Association. The survey will close in the fall.
