Self-Guided Online SAVA Courses Self-Assessment and Verification Audit Series Now Available

The full series of 10 online Self-Assessment and Verification Audit Series courses are now available. Designed for program managers and others directly responsible for conducting program self-assessments or verification audits, these courses provides detailed information about the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards, including how-to instruction for enrollment and advancement in conformance. 

These courses can be taken at the user’s own pace through the FDA’s ORAU LearnED system. They are based on the same content as FDA’s face-to-face course offerings.  

These courses work together to enhance a participant’s ability to meet the following learning objectives: 

  1. Define the core requirements for each of the nine Program Standards.
  1. Describe the Self-Assessment and Verification Audit process for each of the nine Program Standards.  
  1. Assess retail food regulatory program information to determine conformance with the core criteria in each of the nine Program Standards.
